In September 2006, Danielle McKenney brought her 2-year-old Lusitano stallion, Talon, to Ten Broeck Farm. Over the ensuing months, Danielle worked and worked with her horse under the tutelage of Phil Silva. Her father, Tom Yocono, was able to capture every important milestone of Talon’s growth and development on video, and was an enthusiastic cheerleader for his daughter and her equine dream. On Talon’s third birthday, June 28, Danielle rode Talon. Here are some photos of that special evening, one that you don’t get to see all that often (with apologies for the not-so-great photo quality).
