Leslie Kornfeld To Train at Ten Broeck Farm

• IBA certificate in dressage instruction with the ARICP

• Licensed Massachusetts horseback riding instructor
• 5 years as Program Director/Head Instructor for a college equine management program
• Students with national awards in dressage

We are pleased to have Leslie Kornfeld as a trainer at Ten Broeck Farm. Leslie has been riding since she was a child and was an active participant in her local 4-H and Pony Clubs. She began her teaching and training career in the 4-H. She believes that the student needs to understand not only how, but why certain things are done. This understanding is not only the basis for a student to do well in lessons, but also for the student to become self-sufficient and progress when the instructor is not present. Leslie has been a full-time free-lance instructor for 17 years. She has been taught by many well known instructors and clinicians.

Leslie and Orintha Silva have made several presentations together over the years, the most recent being at the 2006 Equine Affaire with Orintha on her Lusitano stallion, Padixa, and Leslie on her Lusitano gelding, Revel.

Leslie is married to Adam Bailey, who is also a rider and a teacher of the Alexander Technique. They occasionally present clinics together on applying the Alexander Technique to horseback riding. To arrange for a session with Leslie, please call Orintha Silva at 978-877-6636.
