Meredith Helgerson, 20, is Ten Broeck Farm’s newest intern, and is spending the summer with us. She will graduate from Stockbridge School at UMass/Amherst in the spring of 2008 with a degree in Equine Industries.

Meredith hails from Petersham, Massachusetts. She has been riding for 12 years and, like so many young riders, participated in 4-H activities for several years. She has been involved in eventing and dressage for the past six years and is currently a member of the UMass Intercollegiate Dressage Team.

Meredith has a 3-year-old Belgian Cross mare named Elle. She gives us a very simple, heartfelt, straightforward summary of her passion: “I LOVE HORSES!”
